JINX RIDDIM produced by JA PRODUCTIONS 2011
Jinx Overview
The Jinx Riddim started in a busy Kingston studio. The bashment arranger wanted a strong, catchy beat that would get people moving. He worked closely with the musicians, making sure each instrument fit the dancehall vibe. The beat they built was heavy and full of energy, ready for the dance. JA PRODUCTIONS was behind the project. This label, led by producer Justus Arison, has a history of shaping modern dancehall. JA PRODUCTIONS became known for big riddims and helped launch many artists’ songs into heavy radio play across Jamaica and beyond. On the Jinx Riddim, several artists brought their own style. Bambo’s “More Chedda” is all about chasing success. His delivery is fast and full of confidence. Blak Diamond comes in with “Its Just Life,” giving a message about real struggles and hope. Camar’s “God Bless” stands out for its positive energy; Camar is also known for his work with T.O.K., a well-known dancehall group. Dappa Yute adds fire with “Fireworks,” bringing a fresh voice to the riddim. Esco, who was part of the duo Leftside & Esco, brings “Shine Brite.” Esco’s history includes hits like “Tuck In Yuh Belly,” and he’s respected for both his solo work and collaborations. In 2011, this yard beat ran through speakers all over the island, making people dance and sing along.
