Intouch Riddim – Eye N Eye Music

Intouch Riddim comes in as a tight nine-cut 2008 reggae set, and the lineup immediately tells you it’s aimed at roots heads more than dancefloor chasers. Lutan Fyah’s “African Queen” and Ginjah’s “Nah Give Up” anchor the sequence with that steady, conscious tone both singers handle so well, while Konshens joining Delus on “Nah Meditate” adds a sharper contemporary edge. The cut most people will likely remember is Empress Minott’s “Happy Now, ” which sits nicely against the more militant turns from Jubilant and Kashu.
