Instagram Overview

The Instagram Riddim started in the studio with a clear goal: to capture the true spirit of Carnival. The island arranger wanted every track to bring out the feeling of a real fete, where people dance and celebrate together. Working closely with the musicians, the arranger shaped the sound to be both exciting and easy to move to. At the center of this project was the producer VALMUSIK. Known for pushing soca forward, VALMUSIK has worked on several popular releases in the Caribbean music scene. The label’s productions are known for their quality and have gained attention both at home and abroad. The riddim brought together some strong voices. Kerlz Ft. Inches delivered “Hot Like Fire,” a track filled with energy and catchy hooks. Inches, who also appears solo with “Hot Like Fire — Hot Like Fire,” is recognized for his powerful stage presence and memorable performances at Carnival events. Prestan added his own flavor with “No More,” a song that shows his unique style and ability to connect with crowds. Rkg D Artiste joined with “More Gyal,” bringing a playful and upbeat touch to the project. Each artist added their own twist to the riddim, making every track stand out while still fitting the overall Carnival mood. The Instagram Riddim became a favorite during the 2012 Carnival season and is still remembered as a key part of soca’s history from that year. Its energy and creativity continue to inspire new music and keep the Carnival spirit alive.
