Inglish Pound Riddim hits with a cheeky, money-minded swagger, the kind of 2012 dancehall cut that leans on patter as much as it does bounce. Black Bandhitz Music keeps the rhythm tight and streetwise, and Di Sulvent’s “Gal Huntin” gets the most mileage out of that energy, especially across the radio and raw versions, while Bencil’s double appearance gives the set a nice push-and-pull between “Gal Dem Bully” and the more bawdy “Pum Pum Belly. ” Point Blankk’s “Drink And Frass” and Mystic’s “Mek Bucks” keep the theme circling around hustle, woman chase and party talk without overcomplicating the thing.
