Im Still Waiting Overview
The reggae rhythm project is making waves with its new dub release. This project brings together classic voices and fresh energy, built around the famous “I’m Still Waiting” riddim. The sound is rooted in Jamaica’s rich reggae history and is now reaching new listeners around the world. Bob Marley & The Wailers are featured with “I'm Still Waiting.” Bob Marley is known worldwide for songs like “No Woman, No Cry” and for bringing reggae to global audiences. Delroy Wilson, another reggae legend, offers both “Dub Waiting” and “I'm Still Waiting.” Delroy Wilson is remembered for his soulful voice and for being one of the first child stars in Jamaican music. Jackie Edwards, Johnny Clarke, and Max Romeo each add their own version of “I'm Still Waiting.” Jackie Edwards was a key songwriter for Island Records, while Johnny Clarke is known for his roots reggae hits from the 1970s. Max Romeo gained fame with his hit “Chase the Devil,” which was later sampled by The Prodigy and Jay-Z. The Mexicano brings a different energy with “Move Up Starsky,” adding variety to the release. This project is guided by producer COXSONE, founder of the legendary Studio One label. COXSONE played a major role in developing reggae and launching the careers of many artists. The dub release continues to spread reggae’s message of unity and hope, connecting generations of fans.
