The Illicit Riddim leans into that mid-2010s dancehall pulse: taut drums, lean bass, and a clipped, street-corner swing that leaves plenty of room for the vocals to cut through. Dinero Productions keeps the arrangement spare and tense, and the voices do the rest, with Govana’s “Happy” and Teejay’s “Look Good” bringing the most immediate hook-factor, while Ryme Minista’s “Illicit Life” and Jamal’s “Teacha Murdera” push the darker, rougher side of the riddim.
