Warm pulse. KMG Music Group’s Eye Opener Riddim has that mid-2010s dancehall snap to it, the kind of cut that leaves room for the voices to do the talking, and Vybrant’s “More The Merrier” sits neatly in that pocket with a cheeky, uptempo swing while Erup and Adeeno push the energy in different directions. The set is only seven tracks, but it moves with a tidy, no-frills confidence, and the way KMG frames Cyba’s “Lock Off” against the more romantic turn of “Love Spell” gives the riddim a nice little contrast. You can hear the same producer instinct running through the whole thing: catchy, clean, and aimed squarely at sound system play. A quick, sharp run from Gal-X, Epesword and Kimo Jeepaz at the end, too, just to keep the pace up.
