Ice Cold Riddim – Johnny Wonder / Loud City

Johnny Wonder and Loud City linked up on Ice Cold Riddim in 2015, a roots-leaning juggling with a cool, crisp edge and enough bounce to keep the groove moving under every vocal. Loud City was the newer imprint in the partnership, and Johnny Wonder’s involvement gave the project a wider dancehall and reggae network. The riddim sits in that sweet spot where the production feels polished but not overworked, with a rolling bassline, taut drums, and a sparing melodic bed that leaves space for the singers.

Collie Buddz opens things up with Marijuana Dreams, one of the most natural fits on the set, giving the herb anthem lane a laid-back Caribbean swagger. Richie Stephens pulls the energy back into classic reggae form on Free Up The Plant, and Ce’Cile with Vybrant’s Mr Right adds a flirtier, more playful contrast to the weed and warning tunes around it.
