Higher Priest Riddim lands in that early-2014 roots-reggae pocket where the vibe is meditative but the vocals keep it moving, with Kingston Songs lining up nine singers across a steady one-riddim showcase. Duane Stephenson’s “Nature Boy” feels like the anchor, all calm authority and easy phrasing, while Ginjah’s “Jah Jah Watch Over We” and Glen Washington’s “In The Beginning” lean into the spiritual side of the cut without sounding stiff.
