Gyal Ninja Riddim – Prodigal Entertainment

Prodigal Entertainment kept this one tight and lean in 2018: the Gyal Ninja Riddim is a two-track soca set, more quick-hit than full-blown compilation, with Problem Child’s “Doah Fraid” leading the charge and Mad Dog’s “Hol Him” backing it up. Problem Child comes in with the sharper, more playful cut, while Mad Dog rides the same groove with a firmer edge, so the pair ends up feeling like a neat little back-and-forth rather than a crowded showcase. There’s no fat on it, just two short songs over one bright carnival-ready riddim, which makes the title fit the attitude pretty well.
