This one rides a taut, mid-2000s dancehall groove with enough snap in the drums and bass weight to keep it moving without tipping into anything too glossy, which is probably why voices like Ice Cold, Red Rat, Round Head, and Sizzla all sit so naturally over it. Sizzla’s “Pon Di Campus” feels like the anchor here, while Red Rat and Round Head keep the set rooted in that era’s playful, street-level energy. Hearing it beside the producer’s other riddims from the period, Gweh feels less polished than the bigger crossover packages and more tuned to hard club rotation, where the hooks had to hit fast and the instrumental had to carry real pressure. It sits neatly in the run of 2006 dancehall rhythm releases that were built for selectors first and foremost, with no wasted space.
