Gwaany Gwaany Riddim – Frenz For Real/Hard@Work/Tristan Palma Prod

Gwaany Gwaany lands a little harder than a lot of the tidy one-riddim sets that came out around it, with Frenz For Real, Hard@Work and Tristan Palma lining up a cast that leans veteran-heavy and straightforwardly dancehall. Beenie Man’s “Me Naah Worry My Self” is the obvious anchor, and Jah Vinci’s “Hold Me” gives the rhythm some melodic pull, while Sizzla and Josey Wales keep the vibe rooted in that rougher early-2010s street sound. The riddim also turned up in 2013 as a proper single rollout before being collected more fully later, which fits the way it was being worked at the time. The tracklist repeats the stronger cuts in raw and clean versions, then closes with Stacious and Unstoppable Fyah, so the sequencing feels built for juggling, radio and the dance in equal measure.
