GUILTY RIDDIM produced by PROGRESSIVE INT’L RECORDS 1991
Guilty Overview
Guilty Riddim came out in 1991 from PROGRESSIVE INT'L RECORDS. This reggae riddim brought together both new and established artists, giving young singers a real chance to shine. Gregory Isaacs, a true legend in reggae, recorded "Guilty" for this riddim. Isaacs is famous for his smooth voice and classic hits like "Night Nurse." His presence added deep roots to the project. Foxy Brown & Johnny P teamed up for "Cherish Th," bringing a lively duet style. Lady Shabba offered "Na Let Off," showing her tough, confident sound. Flourgon, known for his energetic delivery, voiced "Ready Girls." Gregory Peck, who had success with songs like "Poco Man Jam," contributed "Agony Jockey." Each artist used the riddim to share their own message and style. Other voices on the riddim included Princess S with "Na Friend Mi Mate," Yami Bolo with "Late At Night," Conroy Smith with both "Facts Of Life" and "First Love," and Conrad Crystal with "Ocean Apart." These tracks helped young and rising singers get heard in the reggae scene. The foundation for all this was PROGRESSIVE INT'L RECORDS. The label is known for supporting roots reggae and dancehall talent, and for releasing several notable riddims in the early 1990s. Their work helped many artists reach new audiences. This dub release kept reggae’s cultural message alive in 1991. By blending established stars with fresh voices, Guilty Riddim became a platform for expression and unity in the reggae world.
