Produced by VP Records in 1991, Py Py Love Riddim brings together 11 cuts from a strong early-90s dancehall and reggae lineup, led by Ninjaman’s Whey Dem A Do, Pat Kelly’s Should I Be Crazy and Midnight Hour, Johnny Osbourne’s Go Back Whey You Come From, and Little Twitch’s title tune. The set also features Bunny General, Thriller U, Captain Barkey, Frankie Paul, Gregory Peck and Max Romeo, giving the riddim a wide vocal spread across one groove. Oswald “Ossie” Hibbert is credited with the production on outside listings, which ties the project to one of reggae’s most reliable behind-the-scenes names.
