Gothic Riddim – Cant Stop Records

By the time Can’t Stop Records rolled out Gothic Riddim in 2019, the label had already started carving out a small but consistent soca catalogue, and this one sits neatly beside that run with a tighter, party-minded focus. Lavaman’s “Rum and Cat A Lick” is the obvious talking point, while Anthony KD’s “Holy Whine” and Elkanah’s “Private Part Liar” keep the mood cheeky and carnival-ready; Versitile’s “Cyan Tired” adds a sharper edge to the set. The production keeps everything moving on a brisk, bassy soca pulse, with enough room for the vocals to cut through without losing the dancefloor snap. The tracklist is compact too, just four cuts, which gives the riddim a quick, no-nonsense shape from opening note to final tune.
