By 2019, Precision Productions were already deep into their Carnival-season run, and Bittersweet Riddim sits right in that pocket with a tight five-track set aimed at the road and the party. The groove has that bright, glossy soca snap Precision do so well, but there’s a seductive edge to it too, especially on Nailah Blackman and Konshens’ “Slow Wine, ” which feels like the tune that locks the whole thing into place. Preedy’s “I Tried” and Sekon Sta’s “Mr. Badman” keep the energy moving with sharper, more chant-ready turns, while Nessa Preppy’s “Honeypot” leans into the sweeter side of the riddim. Naniola’s “Pocket” opens it up with a direct, dancefloor-minded pull, and the instrumental’s bounce leaves the project with a clean, easy Carnival finish.
