2019 was a busy year for soca riddims, and Festival Riddim fits right into that Carnival-ready run with a compact Hunta Flow Production set that keeps the focus on fete energy rather than padding. Sick-O turns up twice, first on the feel-good “Happy Man” and then alongside Optimus on “Vibes Life, ” while Tapha’s “People Thing” gives the project its sharpest solo turn. Hunta Flow also keeps an instrumental cut under the same banner, which feels like a deliberate nod to DJs and selectors who want the riddim on its own, not just the vocal versions. The sequencing is lean and practical: three songs, then the bare riddim, so the whole release moves like a small sound system package built for quick rotation.
