Going Back To School Riddim – Volcano

Originally released in 1981, Going Back To School Riddim on Volcano is a compact Henry Junjo Lawes production with just two cuts, pairing Billy Boyo’s Going Back To School with Eek-A-Mouse’s Operation Radication. The title track later turned up on Billy Boyo’s 1983 DJ Clash Volume Two, while Eek-A-Mouse’s cut keeps the set anchored in that early Volcano era when Lawes was shaping some of the label’s most influential dancehall sessions. With only two tracks, it plays more like a focused version than a crowded compilation, and that lean lineup gives the riddim a sharp, direct feel.
