Slowly But Surely Riddim on Volcano Records is a 1981 Henry Lawes production with just two cuts on the selector, Eek-A-Mouse’s title tune and Johnny Osbourne’s Over 31 Under 21 (Under 31) from 1982. It comes out of the early Volcano era when Lawes was shaping some of the toughest roots and dancehall sides in Jamaica, and the compact tracklist gives the riddim its identity through those two sharply contrasting vocal takes rather than a crowded lineup.
