From Barbados Crop Over into the wider 2012 soca season, Full Throttle Riddim catches Precision Productions in that sharp, driving zone where carnival music needs to feel fast without losing its swing. The early-cut version that surfaced around July 2012 was a three-song teaser, before the fuller six-track release arrived later in the year, and the way it opens with Inches’ “Wuk Up” tells you exactly where the energy lives. Precision’s footing matches Alison Hinds and Mr. Dale on “Maddest Thing” nicely, with Bunji Garlin’s “None Like This” adding a rougher Trinidad edge before Destra Garcia and Swappi push it deeper into fete territory; the result is bright, percussive, and built for movement, right down to that final “Party Vibes” nod.
