Armz House Records had a real run in the mid-2010s, and Forever Riddim sits right in that lane: a 2017 dancehall juggling with the kind of polished, radio-ready pulse that could still move hard in the street. The label behind it is associated with Everton “Rado” Minott, and by the time Forever surfaced, Armz House had already earned attention for turning out punchy modern rhythms with major voices attached. The release was distributed through Johnny Wonder 21, which helped push it out across the digital space.

What makes Forever work is its balance. The rhythm rides with a clean, steady bounce and enough bass weight to give the deejays room, while the melodic side keeps it bright and open rather than aggressive. It sits around a mid-tempo dancehall feel, the kind that leaves space for melody, singjay phrasing, and hooks that stick after one spin. That’s exactly where the strongest cuts land.

Alkaline’s Pretty Girl Team brings the sharpest early spark, with his usual cool, clipped delivery giving the riddim a youthful, flirtatious edge. Mavado’s Forever gives the project a bigger emotional center, more serious in tone and anchored by his trademark rough-hewn cadence. Kranium’s Give Thanks eases into smoother, more melodic territory, while I-Octane’s Long Time pulls on reflection and perseverance, a good fit for his more thoughtful side. OCG’s Dont Know Yuh adds a rougher street sensibility and helps keep the project from drifting too far into smoothness.

There was clear early movement around the release, with attention building quickly online and across dancehall media. That came partly from the names involved, but also because the riddim itself was easy to play and easy to replay. It had enough polish for the mainstream crowd and enough edge for selectors, which is usually the formula that gives a modern dancehall riddim staying power.
