The Great Riddim (2017) – Dinearo Uim

The Great Riddim came out of Dinearo UIM, the production banner tied to Robert Antonio Graham, better known as Dinearo. His catalog already stretches back to earlier dancehall work such as Jouvert, Uncle Demon and Di Monster, so this 2017 set sits comfortably inside a producer run that already understood how to service vocal juggling with a tough, functional base.

This one moves with a clipped, streetwise bounce rather than a glossy club shimmer. The rhythm feels built for fast talking and sharp one-drop phrasing, with enough space in the drums and bass for each deejay to carve out a different angle. The arrangement keeps a hard edge without overcrowding the mix, which lets the voices carry the weight.

Bugle’s Hypocrite is one of the sharper entries, fitting his direct, socially aware writing style. Shane O’s Nuh Leniency adds a more militant turn, while Tommy Lee Sparta’s Sparta Don brings the grim, swagger-heavy tone he has made his signature. Ninjaman’s Dark is a strong pull as well, bringing veteran authority to the juggling and reminding listeners why his presence still matters on a modern dancehall set.

Blak Diamon’s Quint It, Dangenna’s Money Haffi Make, Pink Boss x Ten Point’s Eagle, Rigos’ Passion and Wicked Rajah’s Party round out a nine-cut release that plays like a working dancehall riddim rather than a vanity project. It landed in 2017, then surfaced on digital platforms in early 2018 under UIM Records, with the instrumental also circulating as a standalone version.
