Flappy Riddim – Smiky G

Out of the French Caribbean dancehall circuit in 2015, Flappy Riddim from Smiky G keeps the focus on the voice-to-voicetrack format, with seven cuts and seven different artists moving across the same rhythm. Magic Feat Magic’s “Vini Bo Kay Nou” opens the set with a catchy local-flavoured title, while Selekta Jul’s “Flappy Tune” and Ti Mada’s “Cé Kon Sa Nou Ka Fèy” lean into the kind of Creole phrasing that gives these projects their regional character. There’s also a neat, no-frills sequencing here: the riddim appears first, then the vocal versions follow in a straight run. Smiky G gets the production credit, and the tracklist closes with Coco’s “Danm Danm, ” leaving the project as a compact 2015 Dancehall release with a clear island identity.
