The lineup jumps between deejay pressure and melodically minded singers, with Brigadier Jerry’s “Everybody Bawling, ” Cornel Campbell’s take, and Cocoa Tea’s “Bawling For Soundclash” giving the sequence three different angles on the same frame. The compilation also folds in dub-minded pieces like The Supersonics’ “Everybody Dubbing” and a few later reworks, so it plays like a small history of how the riddim travelled.
