Sliding in with that late-’80s sting, Agony Agony Riddim catches Gyasi in a mood that’s lean, cheeky, and built for sound system play. The 1988 set leans on rude-boy bravado and body-talk titles — “Ganja Man, ” “Dracula Bite, ” “Condom, ” “She Pum-Pum” — but it’s the way the vocal cuts are spaced around Mikey Ranglin’s instrumental that gives the whole thing its shape.
