Duck Dance Vs China Town catches that late-’80s Jammys sweet spot where the rhythm is lean, digital, and wired with enough bounce to keep a dance moving. Backed by Steely and Clevie, the 1988 one-riddim set runs 12 cuts deep and pulls in a sharp cross-section of the era’s voices, with Anthony Malvo and Daddy Lizzard, Johnny P, and Shabba Ranks among the key names. There’s a nice bit of sequencing too, with the two Lecturer tracks sitting side by side and giving the project a little extra DJ pressure before Little John and Michael Marshall close things out. The LP version was issued on Jammys in 1988.
