Drop Di Riddim – DJ Tropical Records

DJ Tropical Records came with a compact 2015 soca set that leans more toward party muscle than big-carnival gloss, and that’s part of its charm. Five cuts, five different voices, and a nice little run from Bencil’s “Girl What You Want” into Busy Signal’s “Eyes On The Prize (Always), ” which gives the riddim a sharper edge than you might expect from a smaller production like this. RDX’s “Big Bumpa Girls” is the easy crowd-puller here, while D’concept and Caldhino keep the energy bouncing in a more playful lane. DJ Tropical keeps the arrangement tight and driving, with enough bass and forward motion to make the whole thing feel built for the road, or at least for a hot dancehall-soca session. Short, lively, and straight to the point.
