Dragon Berry Riddim – Monstapiece Entertainment

Dragon Berry Riddim came through as a tight 2012 soca set from Monstapiece Entertainment, and with only three cuts it keeps the focus on the groove instead of crowding the lane. Konshens’ “Boost Har Up” gives it the flashiest pull, while Lil Rick’s “Contest” leans into the kind of cheeky, carnival-ready energy that always lands well in Barbados; Peter Ross closes with “Crank, ” which keeps the pressure on right through the end. It’s a compact release, more punchy than sprawling, with enough bounce and bass to sit comfortably in the Crop Over mix of that year and leave room for each artist to cut cleanly through the riddim.
