By the time Grapevine Riddim hit the Trinidad soca circuit in 2011/2012, Island Traffic Entertainment had already settled into a clean, road-ready style, and this set keeps that energy moving with seven straight vocal cuts and no filler around the edges. Areakode’s “Am Not Drunk, ” Devon Matthews’ “Push It, ” and Zee1’s “Take Ah Lot” give the rhythm its biggest hooks, while Berbice’s “Worries” and GG’s “Bumpers” add the kind of cheeky carnival chant work that keeps a fete crowd locked in. The sequencing is tight, with each tune landing like a quick turn on the dancefloor rather than a long-form statement, which suits the short, punchy format of the riddim nicely. Island Traffic Entertainment produced the release, and the tracklist also includes Reddz and Sharrie.
