2012 was the year soca kept tightening its grip on the dancefloor with lean, hooky riddims that were easy to cut into fete playlists, and Valmusik’s Instagram Riddim sits right in that pocket. This one moves with a bright, skipping bounce rather than heavy percussion, leaving room for the vocals to carry the tune, with Kerlz and Inches leaning into the flashier side of the groove on “Hot Like Fire” before Prestan smooths things out on “No More. ” The set is small, just three cuts, but that keeps the focus on the rhythm itself, and RKG D Artiste’s “More Gyal” closes it with the kind of cheeky, crowd-ready energy that gives the whole project its shape.
