Dirty South Riddim catches that early-2000s soca energy when the road tunes were leaning hard into bounce and crowd call-and-response, with Brenty’s “Rags Up” leading the charge before Faye-Ann Lyons teams with Super Blue on “Clear De Road” and Naya George closes it out with “Wine Up. ” It came out in 2004 and sits in the dancehall section despite its very Trinidad-forward cast, which gives it a different flavor from the heavier Jamaican sets of the period.
