The Nunu Riddim leans hard into carnival-season soca, with nine cuts and no wasted space across the lineup. Alison Hinds kicks it off with “Tease Dem, ” and the set keeps moving through Basil’s “Gimme Some, ” Blood’s “Ah Brekin A Slow Wine, ” and Chrystal’s “Music, ” before widening out into lighter, pan-touched colours on Mexican ft. Gorg’s “More Steel Pan” and Technic Band’s “Gimme Ah Whine. ” There’s a nice spread here between straight party fuel and tunes that lean a little more melodic, so it never sits in one pocket for too long. Wind Chaser’s “Sweet Lime” lands with the most aftertaste, but Alison Hinds is the name that gives the riddim its strongest pull and sets the tone from the first track.
