Dirty Heart Overview
In 2008, the roots anthology featuring the Dirty Heart Riddim arrived as part of that year’s reggae revival. This collection brought together several respected artists, each offering their unique style to the project. Anthony B, known for his powerful messages and energetic performances, contributed “Dutty Heart.” His earlier hit “Fire Pon Rome” made him a key voice in conscious reggae. Beenie Man, who added “Just Your Time,” is famous as the “King of Dancehall” and won a Grammy Award in 2001 for his album “Art and Life.” Fantan Mojah, with “My Works Will Be Reality,” is recognized for his uplifting lyrics and roots sound. Luciano, who delivered “Bad Boy Put It Down,” is celebrated for songs like “Sweep Over My Soul” and is often called “The Messenjah.” Natural Black’s “Make Good Use Of Your Time” highlights his smooth delivery and positive messages. Other tracks on the riddim include Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal’s “Make It One Day,” Turbulence’s “Full Up Me Girl Head A Think,” and Warrior King’s “On My Knees I Pray.” Each song adds depth to the collection.
