2014 was still deep in that post-digital reggae riddim era, and Devine Riddim from Natral Entreprise keeps it rooted in the singer-led side of the style, with seven different voices riding the same cut. Potential Kidd’s “Mama Stop Cry” sets the tone with a plaintive, hopeful pull, while Agasha’s “Aroma” and Mr Mayers’ “Ghetto Mi Born” lean into more streetwise, roots-minded writing. Ziggy Soul, Spuggy B, Spiritual and Oniel Anthony each add their own angle, so the project never feels like it’s just circling one mood. Natral Entreprise leaves the arrangement open enough for the vocals to do the talking, and that’s exactly why the riddim still feels like a neat snapshot of 2014 reggae compilation culture.
