Fresh Ear Productions is behind Danger Riddim, a 1999 dancehall juggling that keeps things tight with just two cuts: Kiprich’s Ring Out Corruption and Sean Paul’s Don’t Get It. The release comes out of the late-’90s dancehall era and feels very focused, with no filler and a clean two-track setup that lets both artists get full room over the rhythm. Sean Paul is the bigger name here, but Kiprich’s cut adds the kind of sharp, street-level energy that helps the riddim land. Fresh Ear was founded by Arif Cooper, who later became one of the more recognizable figures around the label, and this early production already shows the imprint’s ear for lean, catchy dancehall.
