COALITION RIDDIM ? FRANKIE MUSIC 2012
Coalition Overview
Back in 2012, the sound system cut of Coalition Riddim made a real impact in Jamaica’s dancehall clubs. When DJs played it, people rushed to the dancefloor. The riddim brought together voices like Darrio And Craig, Voicemail, and Bramma, all riding the same beat but giving different vibes. Darrio And Craig’s "Boring Gal" was a favorite for party people who liked witty lyrics and a catchy hook. Voicemail, known for their hit "Wacky Dip," kept the energy high with "Link Up." Bramma, who was making waves in the dancehall scene, added his touch with "Everybody Get Drunk." Each song fit the riddim perfectly, making the project feel like a strong team effort. Compared to other bashment projects from that time, Coalition Riddim stood out for its heavy, club-ready sound. In those years, riddims like this were common, but not all had the same staying power. For example, Demarco, who is known for songs like "Love My Life," brought a darker feel with "Funeral Program Flyer." I Queen’s "Nah Watch Nuh Face" gave the riddim a strong, confident voice. The track builder’s job was important. The producer made sure every artist sounded good on the riddim, blending their styles into one big dancehall anthem. Even though many riddims came out in 2012, this one still gets played by DJs today. It’s a piece of bashment history that keeps the party going, reminding everyone of the energy and creativity of dancehall music from that era.
