Client Riddim from Blak Karpet Production arrived in 2020 as a straight-up dancehall set with nine cuts and seven different artists, led by the title cut and anchored by Turbulence’s Grimm Reaper, plus Amejah’s Pray Fi Dem, Black Ghad’s Money Changer, Wisdom’s Back To Africa, and 1 Dandada’s Client in clean and raw versions. Blak Karpet Production also handles the instrumental, which helps give the project its own identity and keeps the focus on the rhythm itself. The lineup leans gritty and direct, with the clean/raw pairings and hard-edged titles pointing to a tougher dancehall direction rather than a glossy crossover feel.
