BUSH MASTER RIDDIM produced by VP RECORDS 2007
Bush Master Overview
Back in 2007, the Bush Master Riddim brought a fresh wave to dancehall sound system culture. Selectors loved dropping this riddim at dances because of its tough beat and energy. The sound was built for heavy speakers, making every tune hit even harder in the dance. VP RECORDS produced this riddim, showing once again why they are a key name in reggae and dancehall. The label started in New York in the late 1970s and became famous for bringing Jamaican music to the world. VP RECORDS is known for working with big artists and releasing classic riddims that selectors trust. The Bush Master Riddim featured some strong voices. Black Rhyno’s “Shot A Buss” stood out with its sharp lyrics and delivery. Earthworm brought “When Dis Bus,” adding a raw edge to the mix. Inium’s “Lock It Off” kept the energy high, while Munga Rock’s “Engee” showed his unique style. Portmore Empire, known for launching stars like Vybz Kartel, made an impact with “Empire Money Affi Mek.” The same track, “Empire Money Affi Mek,” was also voiced by Shwarm Strom, giving the riddim another flavor. Vybz Kartel himself, a major name in dancehall, dropped “Claat Di Rifle,” adding to the riddim’s strength. Even today, when selectors play these tracks, the Bush Master Riddim brings back memories of 2007’s dancehall scene.
