Blue Fyah Riddim keeps things tense and sharp, with that kind of hard-edged dancehall pulse that leaves room for the voices to cut through rather than burying them in noise. Phenixxxxx Music lines up six cuts here, and the sequencing leans into the darker side of the groove: Crow’s “Baddes, ” Passion’s “Cut Burn, ” and Hibikilla’s “Bunkajinwakunotarentogakirai” all hit with a clipped, militant energy, while Madman’s “Do Dem To Death” pushes the pressure higher before Takumashin closes it out with “Kyokutou Army. ” It’s a compact 2021 set, but the variety in delivery keeps it moving, especially when the melodies slip over the heavy drum pattern instead of sitting on top of it.
