Jam2 Productions keeps Bipolar Riddim in the 2011 dancehall pocket but gives it a restless, slightly sharp-edged feel, the sort of juggling that leaves room for singjay hooks, streetwise talk, and a couple of sweeter turns without ever settling too neatly. Jammy “Jam2” James and Andre “Spida” Dennis line up names like Patexxx, Richie Loops, Lisa Hyper, Shaddai, and Dre Island, and the contrast between the harder cuts and the more melodic ones keeps the set moving. Patexxx’s “So High” and Richie Loops’ “Won’t Break Your Heart” lean into the emotional side, while Lisa Hyper’s “Booty Clap” snaps the energy back into dance mode.
