Bellevue Riddim – Stone Love Production

Bellevue lines up a dozen-odd cuts and keeps the focus on the bigger names doing damage over the same 2004 Stone Love/Champagne International rhythm: Bounty Killer on “2004, ” Bling Dawg on “Nah Deal Wid Nuttin, ” Voicemail on “Bad Man Nah Play Tonight, ” plus strong turns from Hawkeye, Daville and Chico. It’s a tight dancehall juggling with that early-2000s Stone Love polish — hard kick, clipped snares, a bright synth figure riding over a chunky low end, and just enough space for the voices to cut through without crowding the mix. The whole thing moves at a brisk, club-ready pace, but the bass stays square and heavy, which is what gives Bellevue its snap.
