Battery Overview
In 2001, some of dancehall’s biggest artists came together for a powerful release on the Battery Riddim. Bounty Killer, known for his classic hit “Look,” took the spotlight with “Super Star.” Assasin, later known as Agent Sasco, delivered “Shotta From Birth.” Wayne Marshall, who would later work with Damian Marley on the song “Welcome to Jamrock,” gave fans “Not A Game.” Ward 21, famous for their unique production style, brought energy with “Gyal Factory.” Bling. Dawg, a regular collaborator with Bounty Killer, added “Its Over Son” to the mix. Other standout tracks included “Fire Got To Burn” by Sizzla, “Yeh Yeh” by Bascom X, “Jus Wanna Smoke” by Kymani Marley & War Tear, “Lock Di City” by Tok, and “War Izzle” by Elephant Man.
