Babinaja Riddim – Lmb Production

LMB Production’s Babinaja Riddim lands in that busy 2014 soca pocket where the titles do a lot of the talking: Bilg’s “Mujeres Bellas, ” Blanco Man’s “Babinaha, ” Kenny Panna’s “Baylemos, ” and Oscar’s “Infamous O Guda Fedu” all ride a lively, chant-heavy groove that leans more into carnival energy than polish. There’s a loose, party-starting feel to the whole cut, with Spanish-flavoured hooks and quick-fire vocal turns giving it a localised bacchanal edge. Compared with some of the more stripped-back soca riddims from that year, this one feels busier and more collective, like a production team trying to get as many voices into the fete as possible. With 11 tracks and 12 artists, Babinaja sits neatly in the middle of LMB’s 2014 catalogue as one of those regional dancefloor tools built for sound systems and road time, not just repeat listening.
