Ackee Leaf Riddim lands in that lean, early-2010s dancehall pocket where the groove does the heavy lifting and the voices keep it moving; Jamlink Records lined up eight cuts over the same 2014 rhythm, with Beres Brown’s “Save Mi Money, ” Big Pop’s “Dem A Ho, ” and Inkline’s “Girl Mi Like Da Style Deh” giving the set most of its personality. Big Pop was already pushing his Jamlink cut on the circuit that year, which helps place the riddim in the middle of a busy run for the label.
