Strive Riddim – Mobsta Records

Mobsta Records had Alkaline at the centre of Strive Riddim, a 2014 dancehall juggling that leans on two versions from the artist — “Strive” and “Starr” — alongside cuts from Izrael, Lejah, Tamo J and Khemistry. The sequence keeps the focus tight, with the instrumental tucked in at the end so the vocal tunes do the talking first. “Starr” is the one that picked up the most attention at the time, carrying that defiantly upbeat, motivation-heavy Alkaline style over the riddim. Across seven tracks, the project keeps the cast compact and lets Mobsta Records’ production do the heavy lifting.
