Starlight Riddim (2014) – Dancehallrulerz

Straight out of Dancehallrulerz’s 2014 run, Starlight Riddim catches that lean, road-ready dancehall pulse the label was leaning into at the time, with six vocals cutting across the same bed and keeping the focus tight. Jah Vinci’s “Dem A Wish Bad” and Patexx’s “Crazy Love” feel like the anchor cuts here, while Tee-Jay’s title track gives the riddim its clearest identity, all sharp hooks and forward motion. There’s a certain kinship with the producer team’s later work too: not a flashy overhaul, just a clean, no-nonsense approach that suggests they were already shaping a catalogue around concise, singer-friendly dancehall sets rather than oversized compilations.
