By 2017, Stampede Music had already recycled its 8806 name into a second Dancehall pass, and this one keeps the focus on a lean juggling with a veteran-heavy cast: Anthony B, Yellowman, Munga, Lexx, Hollow Point, and Lyrikal all step in with straight-to-the-point cuts. The connection to the earlier 2007 8806 is useful context, because the same riddim family had already carried tunes by Anthony B, Munga, Sizzla, Teflon, and Yellowman and S-Kani, so Part 2 feels like a later continuation rather than a fresh concept. Musically it sits in that tough mid-tempo dancehall pocket, with a dry drum pattern, clipped synth lines, and a bass groove that leaves plenty of room for the vocals. Anthony B’s “To The Top” and Yellowman’s “Feeling Good” are the names that jump out first, but the instrumental itself is what holds the whole thing together.
