Tight cut. Fiber Glass Riddim comes with that sharp early-2000s Shocking Vibes feel: lean, percussive, and built for quick lyrical punch rather than big studio gloss. Beenie Man’s “More Time” is the obvious pull, but Danny English’s “Fassie” and Gringo’s “Wuk The Gal Dem Hard” keep the set moving with the kind of roughneck energy that made those mid-decade dancehall compilations work so well. What’s interesting here is how the riddim sits in the same Shocking Vibes lane that had already produced plenty of lean, street-ready juggling earlier in the era, yet this 2005 run feels a little more streamlined and less crowded than some of the label’s busier outings. It’s the sort of release that slots neatly into the 2005 dancehall catalog without trying to reinvent anything, just giving a strong handful of voicings a clean, hard-edged rhythm to ride.
