In 2016, the Melon Riddim brought a new sound to the soca and dancehall scene. This fete mix gave many singers and bands a strong platform to reach new fans. Songs like "Bikini" by Darrio, "Feel Like Friday" by Voicemail, and "Feel The Wind" by Jah-Will became favorites on the road. Voicemail, known for their hit "Wacky Dip," brought their fun style to "Feel Like Friday." Darrio, who has worked with Konshens on "School Fee," added his smooth voice to "Bikini." Other tracks, like "Move With The Time" by Deep Jahi and "Keep Searching" by Melloquence, also got attention in the mix. Deep Jahi is known for his appearance in the Magnum Kings and Queens competition, showing his talent early in his career. The producer, DANCEHALLRULERZ, helped shape the sound. With a history of working on popular dancehall projects, DANCEHALLRULERZ kept the music flowing with strong melodies. The carnival director played a key role, choosing which songs would keep the crowd moving and make the fete unforgettable.
