Link Slu Riddim – Argonaut Sounds

Link Slu Riddim has that crisp, rootsy pull you hear right away, with Argonaut Sounds keeping the whole thing tight and uncluttered. The strongest link on it is probably Tom Spirals’ This Vision, which sits nicely against the producer’s own riddim cut and gives the set a thoughtful edge, while Babascum’s We Are Rasta and Slycer Trees’ Hail King Selassie keep the conscious tone steady. Argonaut Sounds were working out of Glasgow and London by this point, and you can hear that UK-rooted discipline in the arrangement, all clean low end and firm drum work; a small four-track set, yes, but one with enough character to leave its own mark.
